Sitka, Alaska: Illustrated Map of Landmarks and Marine Life

Sitka, Alaska, a map illustration I made to combining the city’s natural beauty and unique Russian-style architecture- such as St Michael’s Cathedral with its onion domes. There’s also a traditional Tlingit totem pole, and places to explore local history and culture. Marine life, includes whales, puffins, otters, and seals, with boats and buoys scattered throughout. I used cool blues and turquoises with accents of hot orange-reds and yellows to give the map a crisp, wintery feel, highlighting the harmony of nature and local landmarks.
