Map Illustration for a Lifestyle Resort in Miami Beach
A Hyatt Andaz resort (formerly The Confidante) reached out, after seeing my original South Beach Miami map in a publication and recognising it as a neat fit. The project involved adapting that illustration into a resort map design for a printed neighbourhood guide, created in the soft pastel brand colours that echoed both the property’s vintage interiors and the classic Miami Beach palette.

The printed Neighbourhood Guide designed for a Miami Beach lifestyle resort. Featuring my illustrated hospitality map, the guide offered guests a stylish and informative overview of local dining, shops, and nightlife.
The final piece starred their location with a hand drawn version of their logo, and highlighted up-and-coming districts, places to eat, and local spots worth exploring. This kind of hospitality map illustration doesn’t just look good! It extends brand tone, encourages exploration, and adds value to the guest experience.

Seaside Map Leaflet for a Historic Isle of Wight Hotel
I created this printed map for the Seaview Hotel, a historic coastal hotel on the Isle of Wight, to be used as part of a six-panel roll-fold leaflet for guests. The front cover features my hand-lettered title and a backdrop of illustrated details pulled from the map - designed in a bright, beachy palette to reflect the feel of the island.

Isle of Wight welcome leaflet, featuring a hand-lettered map cover and interior pages with spot illustrations of local attractions. A printed takeaway designed to reinforce brand presence while adding value to the guest experience.
The reverse includes local recommendations with accompanying spot illustrations, while the map itself highlights attractions across the island, with the hotel clearly marked to help guests orient themselves during day trips.
For the hotel, this project worked on two fronts - offering visitors something practical and beautifully made, while also reinforcing brand presence beyond the building itself.

Map Flyer for a Boutique Beauty Studio in Miami
Gee Beauty’s Miami studio re-licensed one of my exisitng maps to support their on-site marketing - an ideal fit for their Sunset Harbor location and soft, sunny palette. I added illustrations to represent the studio in my style, integrating them into the map as part of a curated local scene.
Used as a map flyer for spas and salons, the piece quietly extended their brand presence while offering guests a visual guide to the neighbourhood. Surrounded by spots like Lucali, Panther Coffee, and Barry’s Bootcamp, it positioned the studio within a luxury lifestyle circuit - a subtle form of map illustration for beauty studio marketing.

Guest Exploration Maps for a Boutique Hotel Collection
I created this local area map for a Hotel collection’s flagship Galle Fort property - first as a framed piece of hotel map art, then adapted as a takeaway print for guests. A copy was included in the welcome pack of each room, giving visitors a beautiful and practical way to explore the surrounding neighbourhood.
Designed to reflect the charm of the hotel’s setting, this map illustration for boutique hotel groups gently reinforces brand presence while offering something guests can use. A nice example of interior artwork serving more than one purpose, especially in hospitality settings where print has lasting value.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a hospitality map illustration cost?
Pricing depends on the size of the venue or neighbourhood, the level of detail, and how the map will be used. I provide a clear quote once the scope is defined.
Each project covers agreed scope, layout development, custom artwork, revision stages, and final files prepared for the intended use. Usage rights and licensing are confirmed before work begins.
What’s included in a commission venue or neighbourhood map?
Can the map match our brand style?
Yes. The illustration is tailored to your visual identity so it integrates seamlessly with your menus, website, and guest materials, rather than feeling like an add-on.
What is your typical timeline?
Most hospitality map commissions take 2–4 weeks from an agreed brief, depending on scope and feedback stages. Deadlines tied to launches or seasonal campaigns should be discussed early so timing can be planned realistically.
What happens if we need changes?
Structured feedback stages are built into the project so adjustments can be made before the final artwork is delivered. Early drafts confirm direction; later revisions refine details. If requests extend beyond the agreed brief, any additional work is discussed and costed clearly before proceeding.
Will the map work for both print and digital use?
Yes. Final artwork is supplied in the correct formats for the agreed outputs, whether that’s printed guest materials, in-room collateral, or digital platforms. You’ll receive files that are ready to use without your team needing to adjust resolution or settings.
Best for:
Hospitality and lifestyle brands commissioning venue, neighbourhood, or local area maps for guest-facing use
Maps used in welcome packs, in-room guides, websites, and on-site materials
Projects where the map needs to support guest navigation and strengthen the feel of the experience
Less suitable for:
Private maps for individuals (personalised wedding stationery, party maps).
Generic, ready-made map requests
Turnarounds under a week
